Travel, study and project grants are available for students, individually and in groups. Students often have opportunities for study, fieldwork or internships abroad. The Amsterdam University Fund helps make these possible, as well as special grants for refugees studying at the UvA.
Strict deadlines apply to applications for grants. Applications must be received by the deadline even if you're not certain whether the trip will go ahead.
Submit your application using the online form and include all the required information.
Travel is the key to many enriching academic experiences: a symposium in Canada, a conference in China, or an entire semester abroad. A travel grant from the Amsterdam University Fund can make the difference for Bachelor's and Master's students as they supplement and personalize their studies.
Even when not required for a degree, a study trip can yield invaluable insights. In groups, though, it can be prohibitively expensive. Thanks to the Amsterdam University Fund, travel grants are available for groups of five or more UvA students, helping make inspirational, large-scale study trips feasible.
UvA students are creative proponents of academic practice, academic and cultural heritage, and UvA student activity. When conventional university funding isn’t available, the Amsterdam University Fund helps bridge the gap, providing grants for projects, events, and activities organized by and for UvA students.
For students who are in dire financial need, the Amsterdam University Fund may award a one-off, specific study grant. For further details about this grant, please contact the Amsterdam University Fund:
