One-off or long-term giving through the UvA Fund

There are several ways to contribute to projects, scholarships and activities involving students, lecturers and researchers at the UvA:

• A one-off gift
• A multi-year agreement
• Setting up a named endowment fund. Together, we determine how the funds will be used, with a specific focus on a particular theme, target group or faculty if desired.

We take care of the practicalities

Running your own foundation or association requires considerable attention. Complex administration, application procedures, legislation and regulations, and asset management can make the work of board members increasingly time-consuming or even unmanageable. We can relieve this burden by allocating the available budget to the causes that are important to the foundation.

Sometimes, closing a foundation is the right next step. The funds that remain can be transferred to the UvA Fund, for example in a Named Fund. We take over from there, so there are no further obligations for the foundation. The funds continue to support meaningful work, keeping the foundation’s mission alive.
